Fair Usage Policy (FUP)

1. Introduction
The purpose of this Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is to ensure that all users of Roamic's eSIM services have a high-quality and reliable experience. Mobile data resources are shared across all users, and excessive or unreasonable usage by one individual can negatively affect the network experience for others. This policy sets out guidelines for acceptable and fair usage of our eSIM services to prevent abuse, misuse, and ensure equitable access for all customers.

2. Scope of the Policy
This Fair Usage Policy applies to all users of Roamic unlimited data packages. By purchasing and using a Roamic eSIM, you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our general Terms and Conditions.

3. Fair Usage Guidelines
Roamic offers unlimited data plans with an allowance of high-speed data per 24-hour cycle. The specific high-speed data allocation may vary depending on the country or region in which the eSIM is being used. Typically in some regions, users may receive between 1GB and 2GB of high-speed data per 24 hours, depending on the country and local network conditions.

Once the allocated high-speed data limit has been reached, the connection speed will be reduced to a maximum of 512 kbps for the remainder of the 24-hour period. At the start of the next 24-hour cycle, the high-speed data allocation will reset automatically.

4. Purpose of Fair Usage Policy
This policy exists to:

  • Prevent network congestion caused by disproportionate usage.
  • Ensure a stable and fair internet experience for all users.
  • Comply with the network operator’s infrastructure limitations in different regions.
  • Avoid misuse of unlimited data plans, such as tethering to multiple devices or using the connection for activities inconsistent with normal personal use.

5. Prohibited Activities Under Fair Usage Policy
The following activities are considered a breach of this policy:

  • Excessive tethering or sharing the connection with multiple devices beyond normal personal usage.
  • Automated data-intensive operations, including file sharing, peer-to-peer transfers, and large-scale downloads.
  • Reselling or redistributing data services to third parties.
  • Any usage that violates applicable laws, regulations, or third-party network provider rules.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement
Roamic reserves the right to monitor data usage patterns to ensure compliance with this Fair Usage Policy. If any misuse or excessive usage is detected, Roamic may:

  • Temporarily reduce data speeds beyond the stated FUP limits.
  • Suspend or terminate services in extreme or repeated cases of policy violation.
  • Take other measures deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the network.

7. Transparency and Communication
Roamic is committed to transparency. Users will not be charged extra for exceeding the high-speed data limit under this policy. Instead, speeds will be adjusted in accordance with the outlined terms until the next 24-hour cycle begins.

8. Exceptions and Regional Differences
Due to variations in regional network infrastructure and agreements with local providers, the high-speed data limit may differ between countries. Roamic strives to offer the most competitive and fair packages based on regional capabilities.

9. Changes to the Fair Usage Policy
Roamic reserves the right to amend this Fair Usage Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant updates through official communication channels. Continued use of our services after changes are made will be considered acceptance of the updated policy.
